Orientation.

Here's the good news: You get two hours deposited into your time bank account when you become a member. Here's the bad news: In order to get those first two hours, you have to get oriented at a two-hour seminar! Contact the CCE office at 410-884-6121 for orientation dates, if that's the route you want to take.

A faster way.
You have two options: I am authorized by the good people at time banking to offer orientations. I offer this service at my discretion. My orientations are short, customized to your interests and aimed at tech-adept users. You can also sign up online, skip the orientation altogether and get your two hours.

What I expect from people I orient.
First, you'll already have the membership form in hand with the basic info filled out. You'll have scanned this website and/or the membership handbook. You'll already be using -- to some degree or another -- social media and online personal branding. Your particular expression is yours to decide, but you'll be someone who has, for example, a website, uses Facebook, blogs, has an OpenID, Tweets, has a Socializr account ... something. I'm most interested in meeting people who are interested in expanding local relationships through social technology. That's where I'm putting my focus.

Where we'll do the orientation.
The next step is that we'll either meet at a wifi spot or have a phone conversation. I do earn T-B dollars for this. Once your application is submitted and you're in the system, your account will be credited with two T-B dollars.
