Getting started.
You gotta play to get paid.
You have to be in the system to use time banking. In other words, you have to be a registered member.
Getting a membership application.
There are four options:
1) You can download the six-page membership application here.
2) You can also contact the Columbia Community Exchange (time bank) office by email or phone (410-884-6121); they'll mail you a packet.
3) If you want, you can stop by their offices at 5853 Robert Oliver Place in The Barn in the Oakland Mills Village Center.
4) You can sign up on line.
Signing the Code of Ethics doc.
Make sure you sign the Code of Ethics one-page doc and include it with your membership application.
Background info to read.
The 11-page membership handbook will help answer many of your questions about the program. It's easy enough to read online. There is also a Do's and Don'ts doc and a transaction evaluation form, which you can use after giving or receiving timebank-based services. Personally, I've yet to use it; completing the form is not required.
Forms and Docs.
All the forms and docs you need are also available here.
